another winter week, a week filled with cookies, valentines, hugs and kisses from maya, puzzling together outfits that make me happy, and snuggling into the couch at night. my best friend’s birthday was this week, reminding me not only how much has changed in, we won’t say how many years, but also how many things haven’t changed.
it always strikes me when i really start thinking about how quickly time goes in some ways, and despite the days and months that seem to drag. i’m reminded of the need to really slow down, and enjoy the moment, with the people who i love the most.
we’re really feeling the heat of getting ready for our little guy this spring, and figuring out our to do list, never mind our lists of projects for work. in between maya mayhem, i spent a ton of time this weekend organizing our baby clothes, maya’s toys, and clearing out. to say i’m in full nesting mode is an understatement.
despite the cold weather, we have been finding as many adventures as we can with maya. that may mean she is quickly becoming a grocery store connoisseur. that also means she tells us exactly what she wants while we’re in the store, which includes every single berry, banana, and milk product.
she’s also been into our weekly restaurant dates and sitting in the booth like a big girl; the more cheese the better for her. taco bamba is very much one of her favorites, the cheesier the better. add any time outside, or the new slide we have for her, and she is the happiest girl in the world.
things i loved this week:
making valentines with maya
white hydrangeas
asian noodles, specifically from tis
blueberry banana smoothies
mhw pilates
rom coms
breakfast tacos
lemon ginger tea
levain chocolate peanut butter chip cookies
snuggly sweaters that still fit
