friday favorites

it has been a but, but friday favorites felt very exciting to me this week. i love the magic of the holidays, planning holiday adventures for my children, and cozying up on the couch to watch holiday movies after bedtime. i also have been craving creativity, showing in both online shopping and looking for inspiration in getting dressed, cooking, reading and writing lately.

that said, this week was crazy; i had numerous work events and meetings, which made the week fly by. it’s also gotten so cold, it absolutely feels like winter.

this week’s friday favorites feel like a little bit of all of what i needed this week; holiday magic, decompressing, and welcoming the cold.

simple and cozy holiday decor:
i definitely have mentioned that i decorated early this year, but i’ve been so happy with our holiday decor this year. i’ve had these mini wreaths for a couple of years now, and i love them more year after year. this year, adding to that, we bought our fresh pine wreath for the door with a classic red bow, holiday berry branches, and i’ve added greenery all over the house. i also was very influenced on these stars. one of my favorites instagram follows (dulci) had posted about these and they’ve made my house feel so magical. the entire house feels fresh and vibrant, while also cozy.

holiday candle:
thank you to a recommendation from a good friend, i was able to scoop up a new favorite from manse for the season. this is the perfect woodsy but bright candle, never mind the beautiful packaging. i have two and i fear it won’t be enough before christmas.

simple breakfasts:
when i was pregnant, i lived for a yogurt and berry parfait. i swear i ate them daily, to the point i may have overdone it. that said, i’m back. my kids eat so many berries, and despite trying to keep up with demand, we end up pitching a bunch of them if we don’t eat them fast enough. enter, my renewed love for a parfait. my latest favorite has been siggi’s coconut yogurt (high protein), raspberries and blueberries, and this delicious cinnamon-y granola. chef’s kiss,

new levi’s:
i have been hunting high and low for a new pair of black denim that i could love, but also didn’t cost me a fortune. i can’t wear denim daily with my office dress code, but i wanted something that could still last a while. i also needed them to be able to dress up or down, travel easily, and feel easy to break in. the wedgie straight really fit the bill, and once i tried them on a second time, i knew they were it. i’m so happy with these, and excited to style them with booties and sneakers.
