currently reading: great circle by maggie shipstead (this book is long, but so good)
currently watching: outer banks
currently listening:

oh my gosh, i’m not even sure how it is already friday again. this week feels like it completely flew by! i was reminded, again, that my daughter is immensely cooler than i am. i need to bottle up her life attitude and foster it and make sure she absolutely never changes.

the weather was gorgeous this week! you never know with maryland and the dc area if you’re actually going to have spring weather or dive straight into the summer; but this week felt like spring perfection. i cleaned up our patio, and planted our lavender plants. still plotting what flowers and other plants we want, but i’m excited that our boxwood did well over the winter and our hosta is coming back.

the weather also opened the gates to sifting through my clothes again, focusing on where all my favorite summer things are. some of my favorite staples, like this white tee, quickly came back into the rotation. i dug out my favorite denim shorts, and started perusing some other non-denim options like linen.

i also can’t lie that it was a perfect excuse to start thinking about maya’s summer wardrobe and popping by old navy to get her some new things. i have no idea what i’m going to do for little man, but i have time for some research for him. luckily we have a ton of neutral onesies that he can use.

speaking of little man, he has been growing so much, and is such a little love. in typical second mode, maya has been helping him with everything he needs: diaper changes, bottles, outfit changes and baths. when big sister is at school or asleep, we have been soaking up every single opportunity to snuggle.

i mentioned how happy i’ve been to be back in the kitchen, and making some of my favorites this week (all things grilled and pesto), and some new favorites like this ricotta and lemon pasta.

we’re looking forward to a great weekend, with my family visiting, and some spring and easter activities for the kiddos. more warm weather is on tap for next week and i am soo ready.
