friday favorites
fridays have always held a special kind of magic to me. especially now, the week comes to a close and the weekend holds the promise of all of my favorite things. it stirs up the homebody in me, the prospect of quiet at home, snuggles with coco, and seeing the magic of the world with my babies.
this time of year has always been my favorite, but realizing how quickly time is passing this year, i’m thrilled to bask in everything that sparks joy for me in the fall, and sharing that magic with my sweet babies.
this week’s friday favorites show how happy i am to just lean into the transition to fall.
mate the label canvas tote:
i talk a lot about how often we’re at the farmer’s market; once a week, with new treats added to our bag weekly. add to the fact that the produce itself is my favorite seasonally; think bright and juicy tomatoes, end of summer peppers, deep purple eggplant and crisp apples. all this to say, by the time we leave the market, our bag was brimming over. enter my new obsession, the mate the label canvas tote. this is big enough to hold everything we need, but also has separate pockets for items i’m worried about being all together. i am obsessed.
evening cozy:
looking at the opposite side of my day, now that football is back and there’s a bite in the air at night, my evenings have really felt cozier than ever. snuggling into the couch with a steaming mug of tea, good book, in my favorite sweats is an indulgence i’m never planning to get over.
lake placid:
the adirondaks’s hold a very special place in my heart. the pines surrounding you, the cool, calm of the lake, and the ability to just check out with loved ones has made it one of my favorite places in the world. we’re planning a trip up there next week, and my heart is bursting just thinking about breathing in the mountain air again.
adding layers:
transitional dressing is always a treat. in maryland, this week has had a lot of crisp, cool mornings, with bright warm afternoons and evenings. it’s not quite time for a coat, but not warm enough to ignore the need for something warm when you leave the house. it’s the best time to pull together my favorite classics, and somehow they feel fresh again. ootd from this week, including a favorite boyfriend button up (option one, two, three), gray sweater (option one, two, three), classic black pants, and loafers.
