this week
hi hi hi! happy monday! it is full bloom of cherry blossoms and i am finally able to see spring coming just around the corner and it thrills me.
i’m back! i got back from a whirlwind work trip to spain and germany a little over a week ago and life has been a whirlwind singe. everything good, bad, and as maya would say, a lot of big feelings.
my trip was a wine region tour of spain, starting in barcelona, through various wine regions, ending in madrid. we visited penedes for cava, priorat, terra alta, rioja, and ribera del duero, seeing every inch of the countryside as we drove through. it was absolutely incredible; spain is one of my favorite places in the world, with amazing food, shopping and people. i could literally go on forever about it, but it was an amazing trip, personally and professionally.
before the trip, we had the second of three birthday parties for brendan. we got all of our friends and their kids together to celebrate our little guy; cupcakes, treats and everything you could think of. he’s the sweetest happiest little guy and i wish i could bottle him up.
jet lag and family life has been busy busy since i got back. with wade working a couple of nights a week, its been the perfect excuse to shut down and soak up time for myself with the kids, but also to go to bed early. with work being so busy for both of us, and a lot happening personally, we’ve been taking time to just slow down and enjoy the good things.
now that i’m back, and fully inspired from a few weeks in europe, it’s been fun to peruse some new things, catch up on books, and start plotting for spring.
